About Nessan

SENr-Accredited Sports Nutritionist and Academic

He bridges the gap between research and real-world performance.

Over the past decade, he has supported athletes and teams across elite sport – including Chelsea FC, Leeds United, and Newcastle United – as well as top-10 ranked female tennis players, professional netball players, and international female rugby players, while also consulting for organisations such as FIFA.

Educational Background

Holding a PhD in Sport Nutrition, he has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications on energy requirements, hydration, body composition, and applied nutrition practices in elite athletes.

At Leeds Beckett University, Nessan is a Senior Lecturer supervising a team of applied PhD researchers working across elite sport. His work includes a landmark three-year collaboration with FIFPRO to enhance pregnancy and postpartum support for professional women’s footballers.

Above all, Nessan is passionate about helping people make sense of nutrition – giving practitioners, coaches, and athletes the clarity and confidence to apply evidence that makes a real difference to performance and wellbeing.

Results That Speak Louder Than Theory

Why trust the science? Because it works at the highest level.

How I Work

I work with world-class performers across sport, entertainment, and business – people with big ambitions, full schedules, and little time to overthink nutrition.

For me, nutrition is both a science and a behaviour – something to be understood, but also enjoyed. It’s not about restriction or perfection; it’s about clarity, confidence, and making smart choices that fit your world.

My approach makes nutrition simple, practical, and personal

Turning complex science into small, actionable behaviours that help you feel better, think clearer, and perform at your best.

When nutrition becomes enjoyable and easy to live, it stops being something to manage and starts being something that empowers you
